My sister and I had celebrated the night before at Bubbles Champagne Bar on Boulevard St Laurent. It was our first night in Montreal and we decided to go hard...needless to say we woke up this morning with sore heads and a craving for a big breakfast.

I had read about Eggspectation and as it was in walking distance from our hotel, it became our breakfast destination. This is a two story cafe that is devoted to all things EGG: as the menu states - We are a company committed to innovation and eggcellence. Meeting your "Eggspectations" is part of our everyday eggsperience, striving to surpass them is what makes us "eggstraordinary". On this notion, we strive to achieve the best possible in food quality and service while maintaining an overall relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Welcome to what we call: "le cirque des oeufs". An all day experience.

To say this place is popular is an understatement. We only had a short wait before being shown to our table & handed the extensive menu. It's all things EGG. I ordered a spinach & ham omlette with hollandaise sauce - just what my sore head ordered.

Eggspectation is good fun, the staff are into it, the theme is good and the food is value for money.
