Tonight my wine buddy and I participated in the GPO cheese and wine tasting. For $45 pp you are exposed to four wines and matched cheeses. The wines were all red and we sampled two French and two Australian - the stand out was the Chateau Maucamps, Cru Bourgeois, Haut-Medoc from France. The matched cheeses ranged from a soft goats cheese through to a blue vein.

Afterwards, we sought out some more drinks in the Senate Bar and decided to order dinner too. The options are extensive as you have:

- Prime restaurant
- Post seafood brasserie
- Sosumi sushi train
- GPO wood fired pizza
- GPO oyster bar

We decided to try the GPO wood fired pizza. With two staff working behind the counter, they churn out the wood fired pizzas within minutes. We ordered a Spagnola pizza to share for $17. It had a tomato base, mozzarella, chorizo, spanish onion, basil and chilli - I thought it was delicious but added more chilli or maybe it was the amount I had to drink that made it taste so good....
